Richard Gasquet has thrashed Olivier Rochus 6-0, 6-1 in a first round clay court match in the Serbian Open. The tournament, owned by the Djokovic family, is in it’s second year, with the defending champion Novak Djokovic in action later today. Gasquet, who has struggled to find form since his cocaine scandal in Miami last year, defeated Rochus in just 55 minutes.
The victory is the second for Gasquet over Rochus on clay this season.
Serbian Viktor Troicki also moved safely into the second round after a 6-4, 6-0 67 minute victory over Ivan Navarro.
