>Nadal Celebrates Spanish World Cup Victory

>

Rafael Nadal got everything he asked for – Roland Garros, Wimbledon and a Spanish World Cup victory. Rafa, who was seen with his sister Maribel again, enjoyed dinner with a group covered in face paint and Spanish jerseys and other paraphernalia before heading to the match which Spain eventually won in overtime.

After the match Rafa was approached by media for multiple interviews while he was still clearly caught up in the excitement with a scarf tied around his head and a Spanish flag as a cape. Nadal then went back into the players locker room (he’s friends with a lot of the players), celebrating and playing with the trophy.

When he spoke to the waiting media Nadal said he had wept as Spain sealed the victory and that Spain should celebrate for an entire year.

“I cried like a little boy. We have to celebrate for a whole year, because this is unbelievable. It is very difficult to repeat this. It will be crazy at home. Imagine, I was watching the semi-finals in Mallorca and I felt amazing. The whole country must be very proud of the team.”
