>Australia may be swimming in tennis players at the moment but it’s also flooding on the east coast and on fire on the west coast. It seems mother nature has unleashed it’s fury on Australia.
In 2010 there were earthquakes and mining disasters all over the world and we in Australia watched on and sent aid to those struggling.
In 2009 the incredible Victorian heat saw huge fires destroy massive areas of land, causing catastrophic damage to homes and leaving people dead in its wake. People affected by the huge fires received donations from home and from generous people overseas.
Now we are in trouble again. Australia is no stranger to roaring bush fires and stifling heat. What we weren’t prepared for was the amount of rainfall Queensland has received recently, and the inland tsunami’s that would rip through Toowoomba. We weren’t prepared for huge volumes of water killing people, destroying houses and threatening to engulf Brisbane, our third largest city.
If you have a spare few dollars it would go a long way to helping people rebuilt in the face of such significant damage.
