New Prince EXO3 Technology – Monfils, Zvonareva, Bartoli, Ferrer, Ferrero On Board

I received an interesting email about the ‘new and improved’ Prince now that Maria Sharapova has parted company with the firm. 2011 Starts with a huge marketing drive from Prince with their new EXO3 racquets.

The new promotional efforts star Juan Carlos Ferrero, Marion Bartoli, Vera Zvonareva, the Bryan brothers, Gael Monfils, Shahar Peer and David Ferrer and promote the new design of the racquet that should be available in stores (in the USA) from January 17th.

The racquet doesn’t have the standard grommets you find in a racquet which apparently increases the string freedom and thereby makes the sweet spot larger. This design promotes power while still allowing control.

According to Prince “all six new EXO3 racquets will feature distinct, visible ThermoCarbon String Suspension Inserts for enhanced feel.”

A comment was released by Prince from Nick Bollettieri:
“This racquet design change is, without question, one of the most significant and important in modern tennis…By eliminating the restrictive grommets that limit string response and re-engineering them with modern technology that enables the strings to respond better – even out to the edge of the frame on balls players hit at full stretch or have less time to react to – this allows players, at every level, to hit better shots, more consistently.”
But which player is using which racquet?
EXO3 Tour:  David Ferrer, Juan Carlos Ferrero, Sam Querrey, Albert Montanes and Viktor Troicki.
EXO3 Black:   Vera Zvonareva,“Marathon Man” John Isner, Shahar Peer and Marion Bartoli.
EXO3 Rebel:   Gael Monfils,  Mike and Bob Bryan, Juan Sebastian Gomez, and Oliver Golding.

The videos below were provided by Prince from their new ad campaign. Enjoy!

One Response to New Prince EXO3 Technology – Monfils, Zvonareva, Bartoli, Ferrer, Ferrero On Board

  1. >Be cautious about believing a players sponsorship. Although players change brands, many times the old racket follows if the company is not able to get the feel the player wants. Look at Maria Sharapova and her switch to Head. January 2010 she was all positive about how her Prince racket helped her, now one year later Its on to Head!
