Rafa Nadal And Xisca Perello Continue Globetrotting

The globetrotting efforts of Rafael Nadal and his girlfriend Xisca Perello have moved from Abu Dhabi to Barcelona where they were there for the launch of the Barcelona Tournament of 2011, an event Rafa has won five out of the last six years, having not attended last year.

Xisca seems to be becoming a more present place in Rafa’s place and media commitments, spending less time hiding in the background since she watching him win Wimbledon and posed with him and his team at the US Open.

Nadal has called her one of the loves of his life, along with his parents and sister, and it seems to becoming more and more likely we will see a formal declaration at some point in the future for this good looking couple. Rafa turns 25 in June and will no longer be able to say he’s too young as Perello continues to follow him wherever he goes.

In other news that will probably be music to his fans ears, Nadal plans to resume training immediately, taking it slowly in Mallorca and preparing himself for the Davis Cup tie in March before heading to Indian Wells. “I feel quite good, I am going home today (Tuesday) to Manacor to begin training on the courts. I am going to start training slowly, following a plan, so that there are no setbacks.”

Rafa has, it seems, really revealed in the last few days how he felt about the injury andloss of the chance to have a ‘Rafa Slam’. Interestingly he says number one is not important, saying healthy and playing well is far more important.

“I was crying in the locker room. I (hated that I had) to go out of the tournament. Last year, I had to do it and it was something I didn’t want to repeat. But from the third game I knew I didn’t have a chance to win. David was playing fantastic and I wasn’t able to run enough to rise to the level to beat him.”
