Nalbandian To Appeal $8,000 Fine

While the tennis world is up in arms over the $8,000 fine handed to David Nalbandian for supposedly pouring water on an official the Argentine has released a statement flatly denying the charges. Nalbandian says that after a drug test he was washing his hands and some water splashed onto the official and that he intends to fight the fine.

Nalbandian took to Twitter to deny the charges.

“I fully deny throwing water after the match I played against Isner.

During anti-doping control, I was washing my hands and the doctor incredibly accused to me of throwing water at him.

Two injustices - one inside and another one outside the court. I am going to appeal the sanction.”

Robbed on so many different levels.
