Serena Williams has won her first match of the season beating Chanelle Scheepers 6-2, 6-3 at the Brisbane International on today. She may have needed just 68 minutes to cruise to victory, only being broken in her first service game, but Serena needed only moments to create a stir.
Serena appeared at a press call in yellow cut off shorts and a zipper jumper that left little to the imagination. But who hasn’t seen Serena’s booty before?!
Where she made a stir was in saying she didn’t regret the outburst at the US Open that cost her $2,000 and that by her standards she thought she handled the situation well. Keep in mind Serena was fined in excess of $80,000 for abusing an umpire at the 2010 US Open so I suppose she did – by her standards – handle it better.
So, no apologies from Serena…. how unusual.
“I honestly think I was really toned down, I didn’t use any bad language or anything so I wouldn’t change it so much. I’m an emotional player and I’m an extremely emotional person, oh my goodness, but that was what it was, it was great.
I’m always going to be me and if it means I’m giving 200 per cent then that’s how I am and I love that.
I think people can respect that when you see me play I’m going to give it all every time.”
