Since bursting into the spotlight at the end of 2012 when he made the finals of the Paris Masters beating Andy Murray, Janko Tipsarevic, Gilles Simon and Marin Cilic along the way Jerzy Janowicz’s ranking has skyrocketed to number 26 in the world.

Ferrer Tames The Giant Killer

David Ferrer has halted the progress of giant killer Jerzy Janowicz and claimed his first Masters 1000 title, beating the Polish qualifier 6-4, 6-3. Ferrer has also become the first Spaniard to ever win the Paris title.

On his way to the final Jerzy took out Kohlschrieber, Cilic, Murray, Tipsarevic and Simon and put on an impressive display of power serving during the match but was not enough for the consistent Spaniard. Read more »

Janowicz’s Wonder Run Takes Him To The Finals

The phenomenal run of Jerzy Janowicz, a qualifier from Poland, has seen him take out Andy Murray and Janko Tipsarevic. Now he has taken out Gilles Simon in the semi finals in straight sets, beating him 6-4, 7-6.

Now the in form Pole faces Spaniard David Ferrer in the Paris finals. Regardless of the outcome it will be the first Masters 1000 title for the winner. Read more »

Janowicz Stikes Again, Beats Tipsarevic

Jerzy Janowicz, the Polish qualifier who beat Andy Murray, has done it again. This time the in form player, ranked 69th in the world, took out Serbian Janko Tipsarevic who recently qualified for the year end Tour Finals.

Tipsarevic was forced to retire with illness with his opponent leading 3-6, 6-1, 4-1. It is now up to Gilles Simon to try and stop him in the semi finals in Paris. Read more »

Murray Falls In Paris

Andy Murray has followed Novak Djokovic out the door after being beaten by qualifier Jerzy Janowicz in the third round. Murray wasted a match point and was eventually beaten 5-7, 7-6, 6-2.

Murray served for the match at 5-4 in the second set and failed to close it out on match point giving his  opponent the confidence he needed to get across the line after almost two and a half hours. Read more »

Wayne Odesnik Playing Despite Pleading Guilty To Drug Charges

American Wayne Odesnik, who Andy Roddick called a jackass after he recently pleaded guilty in Brisbane for entering Australia with viles of Human Growth Hormone (HGH), is playing this week in Houston. The ITF says he is able to continue competing while the investigation continue. Read more »
