Bernard Tomic is in trouble again.
Police were called on Monday to a Surfers Paradise hotel early in the morning after two men were seen fighting in a spa, one trying to strangle the other near the edge of a balcony. Apparently Tomic asked police if they knew who he was when they attended the scene. Read more

To say it has not been an impressive year from Bernard Tomic is an understatement. The cocky teenager was all talk months ago about his chances of reaching the top ten and yet he has seen his ranking plummet to number 48 after a series of disappointing performances.
He started the year with legal troubles and accused police of targeting him in relation to his excessively powerful BMW (here). He then tried to have his dad ejected from his match in Miami (here). Tomic has failed to show any ability to maintain consistently good form in 2012, a challenge that many of the games elite were keen to see if Bernard would rise to. Read more

The latest twist in the Tomic saga is that Bernard has asked an umpire – Cedric Mourier – in Miami to eject his father John. He also asked the umpire to give his dad a coaching violation and then thanked him when the umpire complied.
This unusual action from Bernard came after a series of negative reactions John had as he watched Bernie losing to David Ferrer. Read more
