Rafael Nadal has destroyed world number 4 David Ferrer in his third final since he returned after a seven month injury time out. Nadal was in vintage form as he handled his good friend and compatriot 6-0, 6-2.

Australia’s Lleyton Hewitt and bad boy Bernard Tomic are off to a great start in 2013 with their preparation for the Australian Open, which starts tomorrow, with both capturing trophies in the first fortnight of play.

Ferrer Rolls On And Beats Del Potro

David Ferrer has won his 11th consecutive match following his success in Paris last week by out-muscling Juan Martin del Potro in the World Tour Finals. The Spaniard won 6-3, 3-6, 6-4 and now faces Roger Federer who he has beaten him 13 consecutive times.

The gutsy Spaniard covered some serious ground as the powerful Del Potro struggled to outmaneuver David. Delpo had multiple chances but failed to take advantage of them and quickly found himself trailing 2-5 as David rode the wave of form that saw him capture the Paris Masters 1000 title over the weekend.
