The USTA will attempt to set a Guinness World Record for the most people hitting a tennis ball with a racquet at 9 AM at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center on August 26th. The event is being held during qualifiers and is expecting over 500 people to join Mardy Fish on court as they attempt to set the world record.
Entry to the event will be free. You can also get free admission to watch the US Open rounds from August 23.

The other day Donald Young Jr Tweeted a message saying that the USTA had “screwed” him for the last time and essentially when he pressed Tweet he screwed himself. Young Jr beat Andy Murray recently in Indian wells but the straw that broke the camels back was losing a wild card into the French Open to compatriot Tim Smyczek in the play offs held by USTA.
