May 2012 – Rafael Nadal
It’s hard to look beyond the incredible achievements of Rafael Nadal over the last few weeks. Any amazement at Rafa’s achievements are not because he has once again proven why he’s called the King of Clay or because he ended Novak Djokovic’s winning streak over him. It’s also not because Nadal pulled his US Open 2011 serve out from nowhere in the Monte Carlo final (although that was very impressive).
Rafa became the only man in tennis history to win two tournaments for at least the seventh time.
In the last few weeks Nadal has claim his eighth consecutive Monte Carlo title and his seventh Barcelona title (he didn’t play in 2010).
